• Photo Book

    The winner of the New East Photo Prize will be offered the opportunity to publish a body of work as a new photo book, produced on their behalf by Calvert 22 Foundation.

  • Special Prize

    The Special Prize is dedicated to unfinished documentary projects. The winner will receive a £1000 grant toward the completion of their project from New East Photo Prize partner Bird In Flight, an online magazine about photography and visual culture.

  • Exhibition

    Shortlisted finalists will have their work shown in a two-month group exhibition at Calvert 22 Foundation’s space in London opening in November 2016. The winner will be announced in December 2016.

  • International exposure

    Short and longlisted entrants to the prize will receive significant international coverage through the online and social media channels of The Calvert Journal and Calvert 22 Foundation, with a combined monthly reach of over 800,000 worldwide readers.

    The winner and selected finalists will also have their work featured by New East Photo Prize partners the Guardian, Bird In Flight and other regional organisations.
